dc.description.abstract | In scalable extension of HEVC, the base layer is coded using normal HEVC codec and the enhancement layers are coded using interlayer prediction for both intra and inter predictions. The prediction process for the enhancement layer in scalable video coding is complex and the proposed algorithm in the thesis concentrates mainly on reducing the complexity of the inter-layer inter prediction to code the enhancement layer. | en_US |
