Yi (Leaf) Zhang, Ph.D.

Dr. Yi (Leaf) Zhang is an Assistant Professor of higher education/community college in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, College of Education, University of Texas at Arlington. Previously, she served as a postdoctoral fellow at Iowa State University. Dr. Zhang's research focuses on college access, student mobility, and student success, especially in a community college context. She has published articles in journals such as Community College Review, Community College Journal of Research and Practice, and Journal of Applied Research in the Community College. Dr. Zhang is currently serving on the editorial board of the Community College Journal of Research and Practice. She is a member of Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), American Educational Research Association (AERA), Council for the Study of Community Colleges (CSCC), and National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). She also actively serves as a CSCC International Education Committee member.
