Brent D. Boyea is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Texas at Arlington. His primary research and teaching interests include American political institutions, judicial politics, state politics, and elec­tions. He has published articles in a variety of scholarly journals, including the American Journal of Political Science, Law and Society Review, Social Science Quarterly, and the Journal of Empirical Legal Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Rice University.
